Learning Resources

The most important tool for a student pilot is the FAA's Private pilot airman certifcation standards. This tells you everything you will be tested on to get your private pilots license. Download the ACS here.

If you want to learn to fly and save money, pass your FAA written examination first. Dr. Brooksby highly recommends the use of the KING computerized exam to help prepare for the examination. Order the one that costs $279. Dr. Brooksby is now an authorized reseller of King Schools courses. Call 702-274-6700 or email at drscottbrooksby@gmail.com and start studying today.

Another alternative is Sporty's computerized exam for $199

It is also possible to download the Handbook of Aeronautical Information. This is the book provided by the FAA that cover all of the information necessary to pass your written exam. The Airplane Flying Handbook is the book that we will use as our syllabus as we fly. The Instrument Flying Handbook and Instrument Procedures Handbook can also be downloaded from the FAA's website.

If you want to download the test prep software for $39 you can go to FAAtest.com.
